Flame Stop IM (Interior Intumescent Paint)

Stain and mold resistant are added benefits due to our new technology. Easy spray, brush, mitt or roll-on application. Intumescent paints have been manufactured for over 50 years, however until now, NO paint has incorporated all of the added benefits especially the most important: a single coat application and a high coverage rate without jeopardizing the life saving low smoke and Class A flame spread. Flame Stop IM is now 30 minute rated with a 2 coat application and meets interior requirements of the NFPA 703, which is the same standard that must be met with fire retardant pressure impregnated wood.

Some basic uses of Flame Stop IM include commercial and residential interior surfaces. For instance, paneling, non-porous substrates, veneer, gypsum board, wood, plastic, previously coated surfaces and MDF to name a few.

What are the advantages in using a Class A one coat system?
