When Looking for a Fire Retardant, There are a Few Important Points to Check.
- Most cities, states and federal agencies require test data from one of three nationally recognized testing laboratories.
- All Flame Stop products are tested by one of the following Nationally accredited 3rd party testing agencies approved by the 5 model codes: Underwriters Laboratory, Southwest Research, Omega Point, United States Testing Company, (test reports available upon request).
- From a practical & economical point of view, single application should be required of the product when possible.
- All of the Flame Stop products national test data are based on single application either dipped, brushed, or sprayed.
- Look for pyrolytic formulated products and intumescent chemicals that have low smoke developed indexes (fire fighters agree, smoke causes more deaths than fire).
- All Flame Stop products are pyrolytic formulations and test data supports minimum smoke density generated.
- Flame Stop applicators are able to give a certification certificate to its customers.
