Fire Retardant Uses and Applications
Flame Stop® manufactures fire retardants for interior woods, exterior woods, closed- cell foams, open- cell foams, and most types of fabrics. These have been used in amusement parks, apartments, assisted-living facilities, churches, haunted houses, hotels, office buildings, restaurants, schools, theaters, plus commercial and residential construction — our products save lives and property, and can be used virtually anywhere!
Reliable Fire Protection
Flame Stop® fire protective coatings are intumescent paint formulations that prevent flame from spreading by developing a self-extinguishing reaction. Most fire-retardant coatings can and will eventually deteriorate, but Flame Stop® products are mostly penetrants that actually become part of the substrate and bond to its molecular structure . Plus, our flame- retardant products are economical to apply, because they normally only require one application, incorporating low- pressure spraying equipment. This compares with other flame- retardant chemicals and paints that require two or three applications with high-pressure spraying equipment. Flame Stop® fire retardants are user-friendly and are shipped ready to use. Fire- retarding paint or intumescent paint can be applied as a top coat to achieve 30- minute ratings on wood.
Safe and Non-Toxic
At Flame Stop®, safety of the public and the installer is our number-one priority. With Flame Stop®, you never need to worry, because every product we produce, including our
flame retardant spray and intumescent paint, are non-toxic.
